Guitar Lessons With Alex

    My aim as a guitar instructor is to direct the student in a goal oriented fashion while presenting the learning experience in a fun and relaxed environment. I was educated at Portland State University and Portland Community College and I serve on the faculty at PCC as an accredited guitar instructor.  For the past 30 years I have taught many styles of music  right here in the Portland-Metro area.  I have been teaching at Tigard Music since 1989.  I've always met the needs of my students regardless of age or initial ability through an organized, consistent, and fun relationship!

    The core of my teaching lies within my guitar instruction books that I developed over many years of education and experience.  From the basics such as chords and strumming songs to advanced subjects as lead guitar and theory you will gain a thorough fondation of the fundamentals while being able to see your progress in a unique indexing system.
